Accessibility at the Mushroom Festival

The Mushroom Festival is an outdoor street festival that runs about one mile through the Borough of Kennett Square, up and down the main streets.

Handicapped Parking:
A large section of the Parking Garage at the corner of Linden and N. Union Street is reserved for handicapped parking. To access this facility use the Route 82 South exits off Route 1. At the start of the street closure turn left onto Linden Street.  The entrance to the Parking Garage is halfway up the block on the right.

By parking in this garage, you will have easy access to the center of the Mushroom Festival. Exit the Parking Garage and use the Genesis Walkway to get to the action.

For families planning on using the Satellite Parking lots instead of the Parking Garage, you may drop of/pick-up elderly and/or handicapped individuals at the East Entrance to the Festival and then proceed to the Exelon lot for parking.

From Route 1 South: Follow the Festival Parking signs but continue into the Borough instead of turning at Exelon.

From Route 1 North: Follow the Festival Parking signs, but do not turn off Cypress Street. Continue to Walnut Street, turn left, and left again at State Street and continue straight to the East Entrance.

From Route 82 North: Do not park at the Kennett High School, continue north on Route 82. Turn right at Cypress Street and follow the Route 1 North directions from there.

Handicapped Accessible Restrooms:
There are handicapped accessible porta-potties placed at each of our restroom areas.

Handicapped accessible restrooms are also available at The First Baptist Church of Kennett Square (State and Garfield Streets), The Market at Liberty Place (State and Center Streets), and the American Legion Building (Broad Street, by the Grower’s Exhibit).
